After a really wet week the sun shone for Karen & Adam’s Humanist wedding ceremony in Karen’s parent’s garden on the coast at East Preston. We managed to drive down to the seaside late in the afternoon for a quick portrait shoot - enjoy the photos.

At the end of June I was in Provence, France for the wedding of Alex + Paul. Alex’s mum and step dad John settled here 5 years ago and the village, out amongst the vineyards and lavender, was a wonderful venue for the wedding. There was a good mix of locals and Brits here and the beautiful sunshine was a real treat. The small ceremony was held at the local Marie’s office (the Mayor) then we went round the corner to meet all the guests for a blessing in the church. Alex + Paul had drinks and speeches in the garden of friend then everyone went back to Mum’s house for the 5 course meal and party. So I can now claim to be “international”! I hope you enjoy the photos -

It was good to be close to home this week for the wedding of Donna and Dan at The Old Market in Brighton. Donna + Dan are great travellers and are currently in California on honeymoon. The Polaroid cameras on the tables were used to great effect. We had a quick walk along the seafront at the end of the day. Enjoy the slideshow -

It’s been a hectic couple of weeks so here, a little later than planned are the highlights from Becky & Alan’s wedding at Bury Court Barn. The team at Bury Court have done lots of work to the venue over the winter including a new courtyard space for drinks and mingling after the wedding. Enjoy the slideshow -

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Kellie & Neil last week at Goodwood House. It was my first opportunity to photograph a wedding there and I must say what a wonderful location. Kellie’s grandad flew in from Auckland (that’s 24hrs flying from New Zealand!) and a gang of friends from Australia too. The house is magnificent and the service outstanding. I hope you enjoy the slideshow -

Monday the 2nd of June I drove over to Seaford to photograph the wedding of Juliet and Dixon. Juliet’s parents and sister flew in from Canada for the ceremony. After a quick portrait session on the seafront we headed north to Wadhurst Castle for the reception. The bride and groom changed in Chinese dress for the lion dance and tea ceremony. The excellent wedding breakfast was provided by Mike Doole from Amuse caterers. Enjoy the highlights slideshow -

Last saturday I drove up to Sundridge Park to photograph the wedding of Carly and Matt. Carly’s family flew in from Australia for the event and the weather held all afternoon. Sundridge is in a green oasis of golf links and has a lovely view south from the house. Enjoy the highlights slideshow below by clicking the arrow.

May 24th - I had a great day with Jennie + Steve at Amberley Castle. The weather was sunny with blustery winds. Jennie wore a Benjamin Roberts wedding dress and the ceremony took place in the church next door with a very jolly vicar. I climbed the castle wall for a wide angle view of the courtyard and had to hold on tight in the strong winds. Enjoy the photos -

I has a great day photographing Bex + Matt’s wedding, last saturday, May 10th. It was incredibly hot at 25 degrees as the sun shone down brightly all day. Bex had her dress made from a kimono she bought on Ebay from Japan. Matt borrowed a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe to transport Bex to the Church in Storrington and the Bride and Groom on a glorious 45 minute drive along country roads along the Sussex Downs to the Tithe Barn for their wedding reception. Enjoy the slideshow below -

Well, it’s been a mixed few weeks for fitness. Highlights included an early morning run along the Embacadero (waterfront) in San Francisco with the Bay Bridge on the skyline. The flipside of my holiday is, according to Helen, that I suddenly start eating “like a dustbin”. Our recent honeymoon roadtrip from SF to San Diego was amazing and the food excellent. Anyway, I’ve digressed. During a recent fitness test by Matt my personal trainer he was pleased with my recovery rate (rate at which your heart drops) after hard exercise which is good sign of improving fitness. A little more obvious was my ability to run for 30 minutes (about 5km or 3 miles) along the seafront last sunday for the first time as I’ve been running a maximum of 25 minutes for the last few runs. This month I’ll be working on slowly increasing my running time and burning those Californian calories.
